TRAP: The Tactical Earth Intelligence
Smart Earth observation with a superior value ratio.
Situational Awareness
Clear, dependable insight into what’s happening on the ground.
Consistent Performance
Stable data delivery for predictable, repeatable operations.
Better Value, Lower Cost
Performance tuned for the best cost-to-capability ratio.
Satellite Overview
TRAP is a next-generation very-high-resolution microsatellite (<100 kg) bridging the gap between large sub-meter imaging satellites and CubeSat-class systems.
Equipped with a custom-developed electro-optical camera delivering 70 cm GSD super-resolution (90 cm native), TRAP provides tactical-grade imagery and onboard intelligence at a fraction of traditional costs.
It is designed for both sovereign missions and commercial constellations, enabling nations or organizations to gain independent access to Earth-observation data.
Payload Suite
Very High-Resolution Camera – Panchromatic + RGB imaging, 0.9 m native / 0.7 m processed resolution.
On-board Data Processing Unit – merges multiple frames for super-resolution, performs cloud filtering, object detection, and lossless compression in real-time.
Cybersecurity Unit – provides full end-to-end encryption of telemetry, commands, and updates to ensure mission sovereignty and protection against spoofing or interception.
On-Board Intelligence
TRAP’s onboard AI system performs edge analytics directly in orbit, detecting objects, filtering unusable data, and minimizing unnecessary downlinks.
This approach reduces data-transfer costs by up to 70 % while maintaining complete data value.
The system also allows near-real-time alert generation, supporting fast-reaction defense and security applications.
Mission Value
TRAP redefines the cost-performance ratio of high-resolution EO satellites.
A single TRAP generates imagery worth millions every year, making it tens of millions during its five-year minimum lifetime.
Compared to traditional 30 cm GSD satellites costing hundreds of millions of euros, TRAP delivers sub-meter quality at 10× lower cost, enabling scalable sovereign constellations.
With five satellites, revisit times and intelligence density increase fivefold – giving governments continuous, independent situational awareness.
